VerveSheets is a product of EvlarSoft LLC. This policy describes the data practices specific to VerveSheets — the website, the Google Sheets add-on, and the Excel add-in. It supplements the EvlarSoft Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Data Processing Agreement, which apply across every EvlarSoft product and cover your full privacy rights (GDPR, CCPA), retention schedules, and subprocessors in detail.
1. What we collect
Account information
When you create an account on the shared dashboard, we collect your name, email address, and — for paid plans — billing details processed by our payment provider (Stripe). Sign-in may use email/password or a third-party identity provider such as Google Sign-In, in which case we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider.
Function inputs and results
When a VerveSheets function runs in your spreadsheet, the parameters you pass to it (for example a city name, stock ticker, or email address to validate) are sent to our servers to compute the result, and the result is written back into the cell. Function inputs are processed to serve the request and retained only in operational logs used for billing accuracy, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.
Usage and technical data
We record which sources you call, credit consumption, timestamps, error rates, and standard technical data (IP address, browser or host application version) to meter billing, enforce plan limits, and keep the Service reliable.
2. Google user data
This section applies to the VerveSheets add-on for Google Sheets and describes our handling of information received through Google APIs.
What the add-on can access
- The current spreadsheet only. The add-on uses the
spreadsheets.currentonlyscope: it can read and write only the spreadsheet in which you are actively using it. It cannot see your other spreadsheets, your Google Drive files, your email, or your contacts. - External requests. The add-on may contact only our own service endpoints (api.vervesheets.com and assets.apiverve.com) to compute function results.
- Sidebar UI. The add-on can display its sidebar and dialogs inside Google Sheets.
How Google user data is used
Spreadsheet data is accessed solely to provide the features you invoke: reading the cell values you pass into VerveSheets functions, sending those values to our API to compute the result, and writing the result back. We do not read cells unrelated to the functions you use, and we do not transfer spreadsheet content to any third party except the upstream data processing needed to answer your specific request.
Storage and protection
Spreadsheet content is processed transiently and is not stored on our servers beyond the operational logs described above. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Google user data is never used for advertising, never sold, and never used to train machine-learning models. Humans do not read this data except with your explicit permission (e.g., a support request), where required for security or abuse investigation, or to comply with applicable law.
VerveSheets' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Revoking access
You can revoke the add-on's access to your Google account at any time from Google Account → Security → Third-party access, or uninstall the add-on from the Extensions menu in Google Sheets.
3. Microsoft Excel add-in
The Excel add-in runs inside Microsoft Excel via the Office Add-ins framework. It can read and write only the workbook content involved in the functions and features you use, and communicates only with our service endpoints. We receive no Microsoft account data beyond what you provide when signing in to your VerveSheets account.
4. How we share data
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with the service providers needed to operate the platform — payment processing (Stripe), cloud hosting and infrastructure (Google Cloud, Cloudflare), and the analytics services described in the Cookie Policy — each bound to use it only on our behalf. We may disclose data where required by law.
5. Retention and deletion
Account data is retained while your account is active. You can delete your account from the dashboard; deletion is immediate and irreversible, with billing records retained by our payment processor as required for tax and legal compliance. Operational logs are retained on a rolling basis and then deleted or anonymized. The full retention schedule is in the EvlarSoft Privacy Policy.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data (including under GDPR and CCPA). These rights, our legal bases for processing, and international transfer safeguards are described in the EvlarSoft Privacy Policy. To exercise any of them, contact us.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post changes here and update the date above; material changes will be communicated via email or dashboard notification.
